Another Look at this Weekend

Meaghan decided to build the kitties a house to protect them from future storms. Eventually, she added grass to give the shelter a roof. And she sprayed lavendar scent on the area. Maybe she is going to be a realtor someday.
Jack felt the need to supervise.
Liam took a ride like a big cowboy.
And got smooches from Grandma. He is getting so big. You can see him pinching Grandma in the picture. That is Liam's new thing - pinching bits of skin and it hurts. He has a grip! It's a good thing he's so cute.
And the kids decided to push the toy gator up a couple of hills. Why, oh why? This looks like too much work to me.

A Bunch of Sickos

Well, it's back to work tomorrow - I think. We're still in recovery mode here, pretty much quarantined ourselves during this three day weekend. Jack entertained us by pretending to be a puppy one minute and then playing basketball the next.
Hopefully, we'll celebrate the New Year next weekend.

Last But Not Least

Here are some additional pictures from today's fun.

My brother Doug shows the kids that it's all in the technique.
Jack is ready to play ball.
Miss Meaghan is quite a slugger. We're looking forward to watching one of her tee ball games this summer.
We hope you had a nice weekend!

Weekend Retreat

We headed to mom and dad's house today. I guess spring is gone and summer is here because it sure feels hot outside. That didn't stop Jack and Meaghan from taking a ride on the gator toy.
Both Meaghan and Jack had the opportunity to drive. "Turn this way. No, turn that way."
"Look, mom. We're driving."
"Another look at my hair do."
Then it was time for a picnic.
Chilling.
Sharing a sandwich.
"Cheese!"
After the food was gone, Jack was ready to go. Meaghan wasn't.

See ya next time!

Weekend in Review almost

We had a fun weekend, involving a road trip with my mom to Kansas City. Mom captured our busy Saturday with her digital camera. I'll write more of a weekend update when she sends me the pics.

A special kudos to my mom. She was in charge of a BINGO fundraiser for my hometown parish. I hear things went well. There were a lot of BINGO players. Congrats mom! I hope you get some sleep tonight.

Happy Valentines Day!

Kisses and Hugs! Whether you go crazy and celebrate this day or not, I hope you had a nice day. I spent the day with my favorite valentines.
Can you guess who?

Wiped Out

When was the last time I ever stayed up until 3 in the morning? Uh, never? Last night, the local police held a DWI checkpoint. I've been wanting to do a story about the DWI checkpoint/MADD for a while now and no one was available to shoot last night. So, I did. And it was interesting. I arrived before 11 and left a little before 3, the time the checkpoint ended. Most memorable moments - a police officer finding stashes of pot in a car, another police officer with two 1/4 filled bottles of whiskey he found in a car. I was a little nervous that people would be flipping me the bird but most were either too drunk to care or were trying to be nice and hope that would reflect on them as they tried to walk a straight line, test their balance, etc. One of the officers let me try the breathalyzer and it took me a few tries. You have to blow, blow, blow. After a long day, I just didn't have it in me. I eventually scored a perfect goose egg - what they call it when you don't have any alcohol in your system.

So, today has been fairly low key. I'm soooo tired. I'm looking forward to the upcoming three day weekend and more sleep. :)

It's Official

Jack has now played more Wii than I have. Meanwhile, Mike is trying to become a pro bowler and hitter. Every once in a while, I walk by with my finger and thumb in the shape of an "L."Mike mowed our swamp yesterday because everybody was doing it. Well, if you didn't know better, you'd think he'd gone anal explosive. Mud was everywhere.Somebody is starting to get into hats. Look how cute he looks!"Can I come out and play too?" asks Hailey, the cat who likes to eat grass and, after doing so, is banished to the house.
