We were fortunate to book a photo session with the Great EE on Saturday. We headed to the park and hoped for the best. We always know we'll get something good with EE, despite our eyes closing or my chin receding into my neck - you get the picture. These are just a few of the shots. If she hadn't shot over a hundred, there would be much less to show you!The next one's my favorite.

My Little Man

I took Baby Jack to the salon this evening and came back with My Little Man. Doesn't he look big? Have I ever said how much I love this guy?By the way, I guess we're in April. Even when I try to set the date, I can't get it right!

My wish was for 70 degrees and fun. Well, we had lots of fun but it was a cold, nasty day. We enjoyed yummy food and lots of candy. I think Jack will really be into egg hunting next year.

We dyed Easter eggs today. It was a little messy but we had a lot of fun!

On Being a Star

I forgot to mention one other thing from the shoot yesterday. I borrowed a friend's red gown and was too big for it. Thankfully, the zipper was on the side, the side not facing the camera as I elegantly (really slouching) glided down the stairs. We used a clothes pin to try to keep the side together but I know my male co-worker probably got an eyeful a couple of times. Lucky him. Long live granny panties. Ha!

The Eyes Have It

My station is changing channels on a local cable system. So, we've been asked to come up with promotions that address it. Today, a co-worker and I starred in a "soap opera" that we'll call "Changes of Our Lives." The wife, me, accuses the guy of not being "on the same wave length anymore." The shoot gave me a chance to live out my soap opera wannabe actress dreams. It also confirmed my inability to act, but at least I was able to wear fake eyelashes.

Weekend in Review

I took off early on Friday to pick up Jack and enjoy the somewhat beautiful weather. With a 40 hour job where I work more than my slotted hours, I usually have comp time at the end of the week. Well, this time I used it. Jack and I went to the park and tried the swings and then found the piece de resistance - the slide! The only bad thing about going down a slide is trudging back up the stairs to do it again. I felt stair mastered at the end.Jack is thinking, "Enough pictures. I want to slide!"

We saw Grandpa and Grandma today. As always, mom made a homemade meal of unicorn magnets and a sheet of Bible cake??No, but mom did have a pot on the table and when she opened it up she discovered a unicorn magnet inside. Instead, we feasted on baked chicken, dumplings and mixed vegetables.

By the way, using the restroom at home is never a private affair. If Jack is playing with one of his cousins, I try to keep the door somewhat open just so he can find me and not cry. Well, soon, you have Miss Meaghan and Mr. Garrett and it's a potty party! We had a couple of those today.

I visited Pixie's gravesite today. We have a kitty cat cemetery back home. That's where my precious cats were buried when I was a kid. My cat, Precious, is also buried there. She died when I was in college. My parents were kind enough to pick up Pixie on the day she died and give her a proper buriel.

We had a good day today, but I can't wait for Easter! It's hard to believe that's only 7 days away. Last year, it was a little cold for Easter egg hunting and Jack was still a little too young to enjoy it. But this year, I hope it's a balmy 70 degrees! And I sure hope the Easter Bunny shows up.
