Almost Speechless
During my visit to the retirement center today, I stopped in on a young soul in her early 90's. We talked about many things. Here's one story she told me that tickled my funny bone. She told me of the time her mother suffered a stroke. Afterwards, her mother couldn't speak very well. The one thing she could say was "Shit." So, a woman who never seemed to cuss when my friend was young, cussed like a fiend after her stroke because that's all she could say and she thought it was funny. It's good to know that we don't lose our sense of humor with age.

Barber Shop of Horrors
Mom cut Jack's hair today. Although Jack wasn't as bad as last time, he did wiggle quite a bit. The experience caused me to sing, "Barber Shop, Barber Shop of Horrors" based on the musical "Little Shop of Horrors." As you can see below, he was squirming before Grandma even started. Don't I look happy? I knew what the whole ordeal would entail.
A buzz cut, perfect for summer and it will be grown out in time for his birth mother's wedding. He looks so much older!

Lollipop Pusher
We treated ourselves to dinner at a Mexican restaurant tonight. I just love Mexican food, although I'm pretty sure what we ate wasn't exactly authentic. The restaurant had several bins of candy near the register. Guess who noticed that towards the end of dinner? "I want candy," Jack said. Mike told him he had cookies in the car. "No, I no want those cookies. I want these." Jack and I both ended up with Blow Pops - two treats in one! While I was driving home and Jack was happily licking on his sucker, he told me, "Lick it. Bite it, no lick it." What a lollipop pusher! So cute that he thought so much about my sugar happiness tonight.

#102 Thing I Love Doing with Jack
Putting bubble beards on each other during his bath, then saying, "Ho, ho, ho" together.
#103?
Eating fake sandwiches tonight.
Love my guy lots!

A Real Snoozer
I had the "privilege" of attending a supervisors meeting today. It was actually interesting and my supervisor and co-worker received "overachiever" awards which were well deserved. The best part? Hearing a supervisor behind me snoring about 3/4 of the way through the 1.5 hour meeting. A friend sitting next to me had to hit her notepad on her leg and fake cough a couple of times to wake her supervisor up.

When New Stuff Breaks
A big company is moving to the city where I work. Today was the big announcement. It was the big secret that no one knew but everyone did. Anyway, the city recently finished building an addition to its old city hall. Guess what? The elevator got stuck with the mayor's family inside. The nice, new elevator in the nice, new building. Glad to see our tax money at work. :)
